COURSES
All Couleurlive Stained Glass Courses can be booked by contacting Couleurlive directly by email info@couleurlive.com or through the Couleurlive website contact page www.couleurlive.com/contact. Courses take place in Studio 4 English Bridge Workshop, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY2 6AD.
The description of the course as found on the Couleurlive website www.couleurlive.com/courses and in further emails is the product that the customer agrees to receive upon booking that course.
FEES & PAYMENT
Upon booking a course we require a full payment unless purchasing a voucher*, full payments are inclusive of a deposit which is 30% of the total fee. Your payment will be taken as your acceptance of these terms and conditions and will constitute a contract between yourself and Couleurlive.
*During the ongoing Covid-19 circumstances, bookings for the Traditional Stained Glass Painting course will be made by purchasing a voucher as explained in the following sections.
Until further notice, deposits are 30% of the full payment and are to be paid by purchasing a voucher on the Couleurlive website www.couleurlive.com/product-page/traditional-stained-glass-painting-course. Couleurlive will invoice for the remaining amount one week before the course take place expecting this payment to be received before the first day of the course, by credit, debit card via PayPal, cheque or by BACS.

The course fee covers professional tuition, use of the studio and equipment, all materials and protective clothing. The fee does not cover transport to and from the course, accommodation or postage of the completed work. In the event that collection of your completed work is not possible, you will be expected to cover the cost of postage to send it to you.
DISCOUNTS/VOUCHERS
If you have a discount voucher for a Couleurlive course please make this known at the time of booking your place on the course. Please note that the voucher is only valid for use by the person it was allocated to, only one discount can be claimed per course.
If you have a voucher from Craft Courses, please make this known at the time of booking your place on the course and provide us with your full name and voucher code. Craft Courses own voucher Terms & Conditions can be found on their website www.craftcourses.com.
If you have a voucher from www.couleurlive.com/shop, the following refunds and cancellations will be applicable.
REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS
Couleurlive reserves the right to cancel or postpone courses if the circumstances dictate. In all circumstances – except Covid-19 circumstances – if we cancel your course, you will be offered an alternative or a full refund (inclusive of 30% deposit).
If you cancel more than 21 days before the start of the course, you will either be offered a refund of the fee less the 30% deposit or a voucher for the full amount valid for up to 2 years. If you cancel your place less than 21 days before the start of the course, your fee will not normally be refundable. Non-attendance of the courses due to illness or personal circumstances does not provide the right to a refund or credit. However, in exceptional circumstances we may be able to offer a full or partial refund. In this instance, we request that you outline the circumstances in writing to us by email at info@couleurlive.com.
Refunds do not apply when your course is cancelled as a result of natural disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, criminal/terrorist activity and similar events beyond our control.
Courses bought as gifts are subject to the same cancellation policy.
If the course at any time has to be cancelled because of Covid-19 personal health circumstances for all parties or imposed government restrictions (up to date information can be found at www.gov.uk/coronavirus), all deposits paid by voucher via www.couleurlive.com/shop or shop.shrewsburysopen.com/business/couleurlive/ will be valid for attendance to a later course.
FOOD, DRINK & SMOKING
Permission regarding food and drink consumption within the studio must be obtained from Couleurlive beforehand. Food and drink consumption outside of the studio and within the English Bridge Workshop building is not the responsibility of Couleurlive.
You must bring your own food and drink, which – during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic – must be consumed outside the English Bridge Workshop building.
Smoking is not allowed in any of the studio facilities, building or courtyards.
PARTICIPANTS WITH DISABILITIES
Couleurlive welcomes participants with disabilities. If you have a disability, please let us know in detail before booking the course so that we are able to assess how suitable our facilities and the course itself would be for you.
Please note that the English Bridge Workshop building and Couleurlive studio do not currently have facilities for wheelchair access.
LIABILITY
Couleurlive and the English Bridge Workshop – in which the studio is located – accept no responsibility for any accidents or damages that occur during a course at the fault of the furnishings, materials or any other items belonging to or on loan from the English Bridge Workshop.
Couleurlive and the English Bridge Workshop shall not be liable for any loss, damage, expense, injury or inconvenience by reason of any defects in the structure of the property, plumbing, electrical systems, gas, water or failures in the supply of utilities for either the studio or the English Bridge Workshop facilities.
The English Bridge Workshop shall not be liable for any loss, damage, expense, injury or inconvenience suffered by Couleurlive and course participants. Should any incidents arise within the studio it will be the responsibility of Couleurlive to resolve it with the English Bridge Workshop and participant.
For any loss or damage to the studio or English Bridge Workshop facilities caused by course participants, the cost of repair or replacement will be paid by the participant to the owner(s) of the building and/or studio facility.
The safety and welfare of children is the sole responsibility of their parent or guardian.
Couleurlive is covered by: Public & Products Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance for Artist & Student members of The Artists Information Company.
REMOVAL
Couleurlive reserves the right to remove any disruptive participant from the courses without refund.
Couleurlive reserves the right to remove any participant who refuses to follow the guidelines in the Covid-19 circumstances and commitments section below.
COVID-19 CIRCUMSTANCES AND COMMITMENTS
Nathalie Hildegarde Liege is listed by her General Practitioner as a COVID-19 high-risk person and has received five doses of the vaccination, please take this into consideration and take care to follow all the following safety requirements inside Couleurlive studio.
In the English Bridge Workshop building, you will take particular care to ensure that social distancing is maintained for any persons aged 70 or over or people likely to be clinically more vulnerable to COVID-19, including keeping your mask covering both your nose and mouth, a minimum of 1 metre distance around them when going in and out of rooms and ensuring they can access the toilets, kitchen or other confined areas with very low risks. For high-risk people, one should avoid being closer than 1 metre to the person even when wearing a mask.
All surfaces and spaces allocated to each participant will be sanitised prior to the course and after the course. Please only use the space and tools you are allocated for the duration of the course and follow all instructions on caring for the safety of others. Nathalie Hildegarde Liege and each participant will have their defined space keeping distances advised by the NHS for persons indoors and wearing masks.
All participants MUST wear new and clean disposable masks and gloves provided by Couleurlive Studio for the duration of the course and should obtain new masks and gloves after each break taken outside the studio or the English Bridge Workshop building.
To ensure the floor space is clear of obstacles and in line with NHS social distancing guidelines, participants will be provided with a sanitised container of approximately 30x20cm to place small essentials they may need next to them during the course. All other large items (coat, handbags, rucksack or other large items) should stay in the car of the participant. If the participant did not come by car, all other larger items will be placed in a designated part of the studio.
Participants understand that they MUST NOT attend the course if they or anyone in their household has experienced COVID-19 symptoms in the last 7 days, and that if they develop symptoms within 7 days of visiting the premises they must use the Test, Track and Trace system to alert others with whom they have been in contact and contact Couleurlive studio.
As visitors, you are asked to write your name and phone number in the book at the entrance of the English Bridge Workshop. It may be used to support the use of the QR code of the English Bridge Workshop.
You will be responsible for following instructions given to you for the disposal of all rubbish created, including tissues and cleaning cloths, taking all rubbish to the bin provided and not to place it on any surroundings or surfaces in the studio.
You must bring your own food and drink and only consume them outside the building of the English Bridge Workshop.

To ensure that we offer the best possible service, we ask participants to provide a review of the course. Feedback will be used to improve, where possible, the courses and services we provide. Complaints regarding any of our services will be handled by Couleurlive, all complaints are taken seriously and will have a course of action to meet the complaint adequately. Couleurlive reserves the right to use any feedback given in their marketing, promotions and documentation materials.

PAYMENT & REFUNDS
All payments must be made through Couleurlive shop.
In the event an item is faulty or damaged or does not reasonably match the description, you may return it to us within 30 days of receipt and we will arrange for a replacement or refund. In these circumstances, you may be responsible for the cost of returning the item to us. If you return an item to us for any other reason, we will examine the returned item and will notify you of any applicable refund right within a reasonable period of time. We will process refunds as soon as possible. Items will be your responsibility from the time of delivery. Therefore, if the packaging is damaged at the time of delivery, please check the package in the presence of the carrier in order to verify the condition of the item.

ONLINE MENTORING - TERMS & CONDITIONS
All online mentoring sessions will take place on the video conferencing application ‘Zoom’; you will need to download the application to a tablet or computer. If you are not familiar with Zoom it is a video conferencing application available on computers, tablets and smart phones. As well as being able to communicate through live video, chat and audio it allows you to share screens, send documents, record the session and watch back and includes a whiteboard feature that allows you to draw free hand or annotate documents on another meeting participants’ screen. This does not provide the right to a refund, however, in exceptional circumstances we may be able to offer a full or partial refund. DEFINITIONS
“Product” The Stained Glass artwork
“Customer” The client commissioning the artwork
“Nathalie” Stained Glass artist/artisan and owner of Couleurlive Stained Glass Studio
"Parties" Both the Customer and Nathalie
“Couleurlive Studio” The studio where the making of the artwork will take place unless otherwise specified. Address: Studio 4, English Bridge Workshop, Abbey Foregate, SY2 6AD Shrewsbury
“Site” The location where the final artwork will be installed
“Design Idea” The initial drawings of the Product created by Couleurlive Studio either under instruction from the client or by working with a Theme suggested by Couleurlive Studio. These drawings remain the copyright of Couleurlive Studio and Nathalie Liege.
“Design Catalogue” A catalogue of proposed designs from which the Customer may select a design to be altered to suit the size of the proposed Site or the desired colour scheme. All Design Catalogues created by Couleurlive Studio remain the copyright of Couleurlive Studio and Nathalie Liege.
“Theme” The subject of the Product that is either proposed in catalogues or requested by the client. Couleurlive Studio reserves the right to reject a Theme or to copy a Design Idea produced elsewhere.
“Glass and Technique Proposal” The proposed glass, paints, and other techniques in keeping with the agreed Theme and Design Idea.
“Cartoon” A full-scale drawing made to the exact dimensions of the final Product to use as a reference for later painting on glass.
“Quote” The estimated fee of the Product based on the Design Idea and Glass and Technique Proposal inclusive of all studio labour for design and making, materials, equipment, and sundries. This amount is subject to change following any required adjustments.
“Proposed Time Scale” The proposed time period in which the Product will be made. This will be reviewed at each stage and may be subject to change.
“Design Fee” The fee payable for studio labour relating to the design of the Product
“Total Fee” The total fee payable for the Product inclusive of all studio labour for design and making, material and equipment
“Agreed Design” The final design of the artwork after payment of the first invoice is made
“Glass Selection” The process of placing orders with glass stockists or mouthblown glass companies
“Technical Stages” The process of making the Product inclusive of glass cutting, painting, firing, leading, glazing and waterproofing.
For all bespoke Products, the Customer may either

Select a design from the Design Catalogue to be altered to suit the size of the proposed Site and desired colour scheme at an additional cost
or
-
Propose a Theme from which Couleurlive Studio will create a Design Idea
The description of the Product following

Meetings with Nathalie at Couleurlive Studio and/or on the proposed Site of the Product

Meetings taking place online or in person with verbal and/or written confirmation of the initial Design Idea, Theme, Glass and Technique Proposal, Quote and Proposed Time Scale
is the Product that the Customer agrees to receive upon making the first invoice payment.

When the overall Theme, Design Idea, Glass and Technique Proposal and Total Fee have been agreed by all Parties, the Customer will receive the first invoice to cover the cost of materials and completion of the Cartoon and Agreed Design, this will serve as a deposit for the Total Fee for the Product.
Payment of the first invoice will be taken as the Customers acceptance of the Design Idea, and these terms and conditions, and will constitute a contract between the Customer and Couleurlive Studio. Any adjustments made after this stage may be subject to additional costs.

DESIGN & TIMESCALE ADJUSTMENTS
The Customer will receive in-person, written and photographic progress updates of the Product and will be included in the ongoing process of Glass Selection and in all essential Technical Stages of making the Product. In the event that the Product does not reasonably match the Agreed Design, Couleurlive Studio requests that the Customer outline this as soon as possible in writing to Couleurlive Studio by email at info@couleurlive.com.
In this circumstance, all Parties will collectively assess the adjustments required to the Product in relation to the limits of the materials and/or techniques used and where applicable make the agreed changes. Any progress of the Product signed off by the Customer at this stage cannot later be deemed as not reasonably matching the Agreed Design.
If circumstances dictate that the Proposed Time Scale changes the Customer will receive written confirmation of this and all Parties will collectively identify and agree on a new time scale.

The Product will be the Customers responsibility from the time of installation. Therefore, Couleurlive Studio accepts no responsibility if the product is damaged during or after installation.
All materials – except glass as explained below – purchased to make the Product are not subject to a refund.
If the glass for the Product is purchased as a full-sized sheet, the glass will remain the property of the Customer until the work on the Product has begun. In the circumstance that the work is cancelled the full-sized sheet will be returned to the Customer and it may be feasible for the Customer to sell it on to other Stained Glass studios. Glass purchased as pre-cut from full-sized sheets and/or glass taken from Couleurlive Studio’s existing stocks will remain the property of Couleurlive Studio until work on the Product has been completed.
If the Customer cancels the work within 28 days of the first invoice payment, the Customer will be offered a refund for 70% of the Design Fee only.

“Design” The initial drawings of the Product created by Couleurlive Studio based on the Design Reference.
“Cartoon” A full-scale drawing made to the exact dimensions of the final Product to use as a reference for later painting on glass.
“Glass and Technique Proposal” The proposed glass, paints, and other techniques in keeping with the agreed design.
“Quote” The estimated fee of the Product based on the design inclusive of all studio labour for dismantling, cleaning, Design Reference and making, materials, equipment, and sundries. This amount is subject to change following any required adjustments.
“Proposed Time Scale” The proposed time period in which the artwork will be made. This will be reviewed at each stage and may be subject to change.
“Design Fee" The fee payable for studio labour relating to the Design of the Product
“Total Fee” The total fee payable for the artwork inclusive of all studio labour for design and making, material and equipment
“Agreed Design” The final design of the Product after payment of the first invoice is made
“Glass Selection” The process of placing orders with glass stockists or mouthblown glass companies
“Technical Stages” The process of making the Product inclusive of dismantling, cleaning, glass cutting, painting, firing, leading, glazing and waterproofing.
“Record Keeping” The process of photographing and note-taking for later reference by historians or researchers into the design study and decisions undertaken. Meticulous record keeping is required if the original piece was completed by a notable Stained Glass Artist or Studio or if the window is situated in a historical or notable public Site.
The description of the Product following

The Customer has the right to access information held about them. The Customers right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
COMPLAINTS AND FEEDBACK
To ensure that Couleurlive Studio offers the best possible service, we ask Customers to provide a review of the Product(s). Feedback will be used to improve, where possible, the products that Couleurlive Studio sells and the services we provide. Complaints regarding any of Couleurlive Studio’s products or services will be handled by Couleurlive Studio, all complaints are taken seriously and will have a course of action to meet the complaint adequately. Couleurlive Studio reserves the right to use any feedback given in their marketing, promotions, and documentation materials.
